Steve Burnside
Steve Burnside in the X version
Steve Burnside is a character from the video game Resident Evil :Code Veronica created by Capcom. He plays a large role in the game, aiding Claire Redfield in her quest to find her missing brother, Chris in the first half of the game.
History
Steve was sent to Rockfort Island prison along with his father. This was due to his father: an Umbrella employee, selling the companies secrets at auction. When he was caught, his wife was gunned down.
Rockfort Island
They lasted on the islands jail until it was taken over by unknown people: possibly 'the organisation'. When he got out of jail he managed to fire machine guns at the oncoming zombies caused by the people letting out the T-Virus. When he met Claire, he didn't like her much due to the fact that she wouldn't forgive him for almost killing her with the machine gun. They both evacuated the island in a plane.
Antartica
He, along with Claire, were eventualy captured by Alexia Ashford. He was injected with drugs in a similar experiment to Alexia's father Alexander. Due to the experiment he grew to a highly increased size. He fought Claire in this form, but eventually regains control of his mind and releases Claire. He then shrank back into his usual self but was attacked from one of Alexia Ashford's tentacles after releasing Claire. His body rejects the mutation and he dies just after professing his love to her. In the extended ending of the game, Wesker mentions that he recovered Steve's corpse and that Steve "may be brought back to life".
